Leumit Shirutei Briut was founded in 1933, in the kitchen of Dr. Yakov Winschel's apartment in Tel Aviv, by a group of doctors who were fired from their jobs at the Klyalit Health Insurance Fund during the violent events that occurred in the country after the murder of Arlozorov.
Dr. Winschel's clinic was the first clinic of the cash fund, which has come a long way since then until today.
In 1940, the poet Uri Zvi Greenberg pointed out that the cassa should “educate and heal bodies,” and Aba Ahimeir added that it was necessary to “teach Jews to be healthy, even if they are sick.”
