The bathroom is a place in our home where we can relax physically and get moral satisfaction. But any everyday problem can disrupt this comfort and well-being of our environment.
After a long time of use, any bathtub shining white is covered with dark spots, rust, not to mention technical scratches, if you do not pay due attention to its care. There are almost no quick and easy ways to restore and whiten a bathtub. To turn the bath bowl back into a snow-white one, one reliable and proven grandmother's method will help.
For this method, we need very few tools that are available to everyone, these are:
- Baking soda
- Bleach
- Soda ash used in everyday life
- Vinegar
- Rubber gloves
- Sponge
- Gas mask (respirator)
Before starting actions aimed at eliminating rust and stains, it is necessary to protect your health and the health of family members from the effects of harmful substances. Since the surface of the bath is cleaned with concentrated substances, it will be advisable to protect the skin, mucous membranes and respiratory organs with rubber gloves and a gas mask, respectively.
First act:
It is necessary to rinse the bathtub with ordinary tap water. Mix together 3 tbsp. l. baking soda and soda ash. Then it is good to rub the bath with this mixture with a sponge.
Act II:
After 15 minutes, after the mixture of baking soda and soda ash has had time to react with the surface of the bath, mix 50 g each. bleach and vinegar. Apply them on top of the first coat, avoiding contact with the skin.
Act III:
Once you have applied the second coat, it should take at least 30 minutes.
Act Four:
At the end of the allotted time, wash the bathtub well with plain water. Hide all products and tools used, open windows for ventilation and leave the room to avoid chemical poisoning.
If all the actions were done correctly, then as a result, you will get a snow-white and shining bathtub, like a new one. Despite its effectiveness, this method has a caveat - it cannot be used for enameled surfaces, otherwise, instead of cleanliness, you will find roughness and scratches. The method is applicable not only for bathtubs, but also for other sanitary products: sinks, washbasins, toilet bowls, etc.
