How you do it - on your own or use the services of a car wash - it does not matter

Buy good wax, in this case you should not spare money. One jar will last you for a long time, so the quality of the product is above all. Buy a special cloth for rubbing wax, because cut old things can be made of synthetic material or be too rough, and you will not improve the appearance of the car, but only damage its surface.

Before you start the procedure, apply a small amount of the product to an inconspicuous area of the car, and see how it is applied, and whether there are any problems with this. It is worth polishing the car in the garage or in the shade, the main thing is that the wax does not get the scorching sun, which spoils its structure, and you will not get what you wanted. Also note that the hood and body must be cold, so wax should be applied to the surface only after the car is completely cooled.

Do not try to apply wax immediately on large areas, do not rush and try not to exceed the area of one area of 60 square cm. There is also a liquid version of wax, although it disperses faster, since it is often not possible to control the volume spent. It is even easier to work with it, the main thing is not to pour the product on the surface itself, but on the sponge with which you will apply it to the car parts.

Basic polishing rules:

  • neatness;
  • slowness;
  • high-quality material (wax);
  • soft comfortable cloths and sponges.

Start polishing the surface from the top of the car, smoothly descending to its lower parts: body - hood - trunk - doors - lower part of the body. Do not allow wax to come into contact with glass and rubber parts, as the wax hardens on them and leaves ugly and unwanted white stains. If you drop a little product on one of the forbidden areas, but remove the wax with a special solvent spray, which should also be purchased in advance.

After you have applied the wax to the surface, let the product fix on it a little (5-10 minutes) and proceed to the most interesting action - polishing. Take a soft cloth, or put on a special mitten, and rub the wax with circular movements of your hand. There is no need to press hard or aggressively rub the wax, rub it with simple and gentle movements.

At the end of the procedure, be sure to check if there are any wax residues, and whether you have rubbed all the product. Now your car will shine!
