How to cook red fish in the oven

In search of the perfect way to cook red fish at home, I tried many of the most unimaginable recipes. The result of my experiments was a quite prosaic conclusion: such a self-sufficient and valuable product as valuable varieties of fish is only perverted by culinary delights. The optimal, in my opinion, way that I am ready to share with you today, my dear readers, is to bake red fish in foil in the oven. Simple and respectful to the product.

To cook one and a half kilograms of fish in the form of steaks (salmon and salmon are equally good), you need to prepare:

  • 50 ml of some odorless vegetable oil (I took olive oil);
  • a head of garlic;
  • 30 g of fresh herbs, which will be available to you at the time of cooking;
  • spices and salt as you like.

How do I cook red fish?

Thoroughly washed chopped greens (for fish, I take dill and thyme) together with garlic must be well chopped. I use a blender for such purposes. Then I pour oil into this fragrant mix and continue to beat until a more or less homogeneous composition appears.
Pieces of fish must be rinsed and dried slightly, you can use a towel.

Then the fish must be put in a marinator. If you do not have such a gadget in your kitchen, you can use any plastic container of a suitable volume. I fill the fish with the prepared mixture and leave for an hour. If you use a regular container, mix the fish thoroughly with the fragrant oil filling and send it to a cool place for two hours.

Further. Each marinated fish steak must be wrapped in foil and placed on a baking sheet. However, you can simply cover the baking sheet with one large sheet of aluminum paper, place the steaks on it and cover it with foil on top, connecting the edges of both sheets.

When the temperature in the oven reaches 190 degrees, it's time to send the baking sheet with the fish to the oven. For this delicate product to be fully cooked, 20 minutes is enough. If you like browned crusts, keep the fish open for the last 5 minutes in the oven.

In order for the red fish to be juicy! Already on the plate, I pour the juice squeezed from the lemon over the fish. (Lime is also good for this).

The side dish for such fish can be quite traditional - tomatoes, potatoes (fried or mashed), stewed cabbage. Personally, I prefer to garnish the fish with rice.
