Spicy potato pies
Ingredients: 1 kg of potatoes, 0.5 kg of puff pastry (ready), 1 onion. 1 egg, 50 grams of oil, 2 cloves of garlic. 1 tsp. of these spices: ground ginger, coriander, mint, turmeric, poppy seeds, any others to your liking. And you will also need a lemon.
Boil the peeled potatoes, drain the water, let dry in the air. Fry finely chopped onions in oil, add crushed garlic, then pieces of potatoes and 1-2 tablespoons of lemon juice. Mix everything, divide into portions and add different 1-2 spices (except poppy seeds) to each. Roll out the puff pastry, cut into squares, put the filling, make triangles, connecting the edges. Grease the pies with beaten egg, sprinkle with poppy seeds and bake in the oven for about 20 minutes at 190 degrees (until golden brown). The aromas alone will already make you dizzy. And the taste is fantastic.
Potato pancakes with herring
For 4 servings, you will need 3-4 large potatoes, 1 onion (preferably sweet or shallots - 5-6 pieces), 200 grams of peeled herring fillet, 1 large green apple, 50 grams of olive oil, mayonnaise.
Cut the potatoes into small strips and place in a heated pan with oil in the form of a flat pancake, fry on both sides until golden brown and crispy. You should get 8 pieces. Salt when ready. Make a salad with herring - cut everything, as you like, combine, add mayonnaise - about 50 grams for everything. Put the salad on the bottom pancake and cover with another. Garnish with herbs.
Pancakes with ham and cauliflower
Mashed potatoes baked with cheese
For 4 servings, you will need 3-4 large potatoes, 100 grams of sour cream, 100 grams of hard cheese, 3 eggs, chopped nutmeg (a pinch), butter to grease the mold.
Boil the potatoes and mash as on mashed potatoes, but without butter and milk. Let cool slightly. Add all the ingredients, and beat the eggs separately, combine with the potato mass, put everything in a mold, sprinkle with cheese on top. Bake for 45 minutes at 180 degrees. Serve sour cream separately. You can make it in portions - in cupcake molds. Then 30 minutes is enough for baking.
