Dr. Lev Shvidel is a hematologist and onco-hematologist, director of the hematology department.
The Department of Hematology, under his leadership, works closely with various research laboratories of the Institute. Weitzman, and also participates in clinical trials and national research programs.
The department is one of the country's leading centers engaged in the research and treatment of chronic diseases, in particular chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL).
The staff of the department actively participates in professional conferences in Israel and abroad, and also trains students at the Faculty of Medicine of the Hebrew University, the Kaplan Medical Center, and the School of Nursing.
22 years of medical experience in the field of hematology has enriched Dr. Lev Shvidel with rich experience. He is an active participant in international research projects, a member of the Israeli research group studying the problems of chronic lymphocytic leukemia, and a teacher and lecturer on hematological diseases.
