Fast food and teenagers - dangers
Everyone knows that teenagers are among the most frequent buyers of fast food. They are at risk due to their love of junk food, they receive extra calories and not entirely healthy trans fats.
At first glance, this is tasty, quick food, but it is precisely this that carries with it negative and sometimes disastrous consequences. Vivid advertising, fast and high-quality service - what could be better? But this is only at first glance, because the transgenic fats that are included in the composition are a type of unsaturated fat, by-products from the production of butter and margarine. Trans fats can easily be classified as synthetic; you should not look for naturalness in them. The scale of their synthesis for the production of ready-made food is impressive! Why is this happening? It's simple: it's cost-effective: in the price range, trans fats are much cheaper than natural, healthy ingredients.
By consuming fast food from the age of 14, teenagers risk causing serious harm to their health within just a couple of years. Lovers of carbonated drinks, French fries, fish fingers, cutlets, red meat, as well as cakes and muffins, also suffer mental degradation. These are not empty words, everything was confirmed by a huge series of tests: people into whose lives fast food had long been firmly established had difficulty concentrating their attention, acquiring new skills was difficult for them due to a drop in the level of cognitive abilities. But that’s not all: instant food has a distinctive feature - a high content of salt, the excess of which is not good for not only the kidneys, but also the heart. The reason for this is the huge content of fatty acids in this type of food.
Doctors assume that proper nutrition has a 1:1 ratio of Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids, while the ratio of acids in fast food is 1:25. Scientists have concluded that such an imbalance leads to serious disorders in the area of the brain that is responsible for the ability to learn. Brain activity becomes dull, metabolism and the functioning of the digestive system fail. Lack of physical activity and a sedentary lifestyle aggravate the irreversibility of the process.
A negative factor is getting used to a certain flavor combination offered by fast food manufacturing companies, as a result of which normal, healthy food seems tasteless and boring to them. The conclusion suggests itself - if fast food is already in your diet, stop immediately, but it’s better not to start. Remember: money can’t buy health, and prevention is better than cure!
