1. Drink!
Drinking enough fluids is the key to normal heat metabolism in the body. Most often, doctors advise drinking pure non-carbonated water in quantities that are optimal for each person. Tea, coffee, beer and other alcoholic beverages cause dehydration, so they should be consumed in moderation. Moreover, caffeine and alcohol seriously burden the heart and other organs that are already suffering from the heat. As for sugary carbonated drinks, doctors do not advise drinking them at all.
2. Eat, but in moderation
Heavy food in the heat is a real test for the body. Firstly, fatty, overcooked, spicy and high-calorie food overloads the digestive system. Its insane work contributes to the heating of the whole body, which is desirable to avoid in the heat. Secondly, an unhealthy diet contributes to excess weight, and obese people have a much harder time surviving the heat. Therefore, in the summer, it is advisable to pay attention to light food: poultry, fish, salads, vegetables and fruits. However, overeating is not recommended with any diet.
3. Hide from the sun!
This trivial advice is more important than it seems at first glance. The merciless summer sun can cause not only burns, but also sunstroke. In addition, ultraviolet radiation can stimulate the onset of cancer. Therefore, if possible, you should reduce your exposure to the sun, especially in the middle of the day, when the radiation is the harshest.
4. Breathe freely
Oddly enough, air conditioning is not a panacea, because cold air and fresh air are not the same thing. Therefore, in the heat, you need to monitor ventilation so that enough oxygen enters the room. You can also maintain an optimal thermal regime with the help of an air conditioner, but do not forget about a cool shower, which allows you to effectively avoid overheating. Also, do not forget about comfortable and light clothing that does not interfere with blood circulation and does not limit body ventilation.
5. Save energy!
In the warm season, our physical activity grows – we remember sports, travel, swim, spend more time outside. However, physical activity in the heat should be limited. For outdoor activities, it is better to choose the morning and evening hours, and during the hours of the greatest heat, hide at home or in gyms equipped with modern ventilation systems. If you are relaxing on the water, also do not forget about safety rules.
